i'm sure you all are wondering what took me so long to post about arguably the most underrated hip-hop producer of all-time. it's because death fucks me up. it's a very sensitive subject with me. jay dee's body of work is so consistantly brilliant [including but not limited to my favorite busta rhymes song, "so hardcore"], that it proves what sad shape the music industry is in. almost every acclaimed producer in hip-hop today owes him a large debt, especially america's favorite rapper, kanye west. fuck, overrated hip-hop producers like scott storch should be doing j. dilla's laundry! hip-hop, and the whole of music for that matter, lost an extremely talented soul. jay dee, you will be SORELY missed.
